X32 channel routing

Hello again, hoping some audio guys have experience of the x32 and can help me out.

I run the x32  for presentations in our college, typically I run a lectern mic and a laptop audio out via the stagebox to ch17 and 18 and in the contol room an input for entrance music into aux 1+2, is there any way to send the stagebox channels to, say aux 3+4 for easy access and no need to change pages? this would also mean I could leave those channel settings alone when someone decides to do a play with 20 mics and I run out of space in the main inputs.

thanks

By "stagebox" do you mean you have an S16 connected?

You can configure the physical desk inputs to appear in any order on the desk - so if you wanted faders for ch17+18 next to the faders for aux 1+2, you can configure that in the routing page.

I believe you can allocate the faders that are normally aux 3+4 to be inputs from an AES stagebox. I've never actually tried this with the 3rd page of faders but they are on the settings screen so it looks like it should work.

The other way to do this would be to setup DCA's for the inputs

You might be easier looking to move your Aux inputs to Ch19 and 20 after the lectern mics- you can change the input on the channel page. You should be able to do it the other way too - change aux 3 & 4 input source to In 17 & 18 .
