can anyone recommend a product for keeping smoke fluid residue from building up inside moving heads??

A hammer, which you can either use on the smoke machine, or the person overdoing it...

 

Keeping smoke out of the movers will be very difficult, cooling fans will draw it in. 

IP-rated movers might have a better chance of long-term survival, but it's hard to be sure.

As Stuart says, you can't keep it out. The only way to keep it from building up is regular cleaning. Even IP fixtures often have external fans which will get gunked up, though at least it doesn't get all over the optics inside.
