edark Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Hi all,Bit of a strange question to be in the lighting topic, but it is lighting related...honest! OK, I have a PC based lighting controller (ShowMagic). And I have a pocket PC/phone (m1000 from orange). I have just been offered a free upgrade to a M2000, which is pretty much the same pocketpc/phone as I have, except it has Wi-Fi. I use remote destop to control the showmagic pc from the theatre main office sometimes (dont ask!). It got me thinking :D If I had wi-fi on the showmagic pc, and I upgraded my ohone to the m2000, can I remote desktop from a pocketPC to a destop PC? Has anyone ever managed this, or know if this is even possible in theory? The pocket PC doesnt have 'remote desktop' but it does have 'Terminal Services' which I thnk is similar?! If it is possible, it would mean I could have a wireless riggers remote for the cost of a wi-fi card!! If its not possible, I wont bother upgrading my phone just yet. Many thanks
