BTEC 'Professional Diploma' in Live Sound

Has anybody come across a college running the BTEC level 4 'professional diplomas' in Live Sound or Light and Sound?

 

They're mentioned on Edexcel's website but I'm struggling to find anywhere actually teaching them, which is a shame as they looked like just what I was after.

 

Any news of these rare creatures would be most welcome.

I'll check and report back.

 

If you look very carefully, you'll find they are HND Level 4 units, re-badged. The only changes are subtle removal of student friendly words, being replaced with employment friendly words

I wonder then if its possible to arrange something with a college which may running those units as part of other HND programs?

 

Part of the problem for me is that after several years working, going back to school full-time for a 2 year HND isn't really feasible - hence the appeal of these shorter courses.

 

I've also noticed an increasing number of employers listing an HNC/D as an essential requirement for jobs which a few years ago would not have needed formal qualifications, though how strictly they stick to this in practice is questionable.

 

I may also have been spending too much time at Edexcel.org recently.
