mac.calder Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 I was just given the specs for a small-ish project which is making me want to bang my head against a brick wall. What I want to know, is does anyone know of a cheap (or free) program which can be used to do elimination trees (ie for each game I can use a key to define the winner and it is reflected on the tree) which looks nice when projected (ie no ugly title bars etc). In the past I have used one written in PHP, but the thing is messy and requires mouse movement - the organisers have told me on no uncertain terms that it is not acceptable... that was a few seconds after I told them that with the budget (au$100) they could not have what they wanted (especially as that included the hire of two data projectors)... They wanted some nicely animated system with zooming etc. It needs to be able to work with team names or something like that... Think gameshow... and preferably be able to cope with double elimination. Help would be greatly appreciated... I don't know why I do these cheap projects, they certainly don't pay the bills.
chris.santry Posted July 2, 2005 Posted July 2, 2005 www.neosoftware.com can do a reasonable animation and has a pretty acceptable scripting language as well, I'm sure you might be able to do something with this. If you need any help with this, I'll try my best to help.
