730 doors Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Does anyone know of any products on the market which have the features of a mac 250/500 class fixture but without the moving yoke?DMX control, colour wheel/mixing, rotatable/indexable gobo wheel, remote focus, dimmer, shutter etc. But with a fixed yoke. I've seen plenty of DMX fixed washes, but there seems to be a lack of similar spec'd spots. The only thing I can think of similar is the Martin Robo Colour Pro 400 or Clay Paky Combi Colours, but neither of these have anything like the gobo capabilities of most generic 250 spots. Any ideas?
Stu Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 This is all I've seen, which is from Robe. It's only a 150w discharge lamp though, so probably not what your after. HTH anyway,Stu
Bad_Rock Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 Sorry fixed yoke I had to edit this one. I think the one from Stu is the only one I found.
Tom Baldwin Posted June 30, 2005 Posted June 30, 2005 It's not on the market now, but the NAT range from Coemar did include a fairly high spec non-moving profile. If you need something now, the only thing I can think of would be a Goldenscan 4 or Stagescan from Clay Paky, and don't fit the mirror. There's also a Clay Paky Display Line V.I.P. 1200, which is a marketing projector - I guess it depends how many image features you need...

The cost reduction for dropping mirror and micro steppers is probably nominal. -jjf
