Helyer Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I am currently preping a Quincy followspot and can not figure out where the IEC lead which comes from the front of the unit is supposed to go. I have not done one of these before so don't know if there is a part missing where this is supposed to go. Nobody here can figure it out either. Would like to know where I can look at a manual online so I can figure it out. Any other help would be greatfully recieved. Thank- you.
Stu Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 Moderation: Moved from General Tech Chat to Lighting. Just had a look on the RJ site and the only thing mentioned is the Quincy discharge profiles. However, there is a section to request info so this might be worth a try. Either that perhaps try speaking to Julie Harper at WL (0208 254 4800), exclusive UK distributor for RJ, as she's the sales manager for RJ stuff so might be able to help. HTHStu
Barney Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 The Quincy range of spotlights is a discharge range, using the 575W MSR or MSD lamp. It has a hot-restrike built-in igniter - connected to the separate power supply via a PowerCon connector. Options include a manual or DMX-controlled dimmer unit, so I guess the IEC is used to power a douser shutter unit on the front of the spotlight. HTHBarney
