Help identifying some wire (and source of)

Hi All

Doing some repair work on some radio mics, but as this is more about a source of a specific type of wire than anything else, I thought I'd stick it in General Technical Chat for better visibility.

I need some of this stuff;

Flat insulated wire
(link is to a google photo)

The copper inner is around 1.5mm wide. The clear insulation is around 3mm.

It goes between a battery door and the pcb. It really does need to be replaced with something similar. I've done a temporary fix with some very thin normal wire but it has to bend in the flat direction and has to fit through a small flat hole.
I've looked at things like induction loop tape, but it's far too wide.

I'm starting to think it's going to have to be sellotape and flat copper tape. Be nice if I could find something off the shelf first though.
If anyone has any hints or ideas then let me know!
Cheers

I have looked for some of this type of wire before but give up. I also take it this is out of Shur or trantc  body pack.

I have used thin stranded wire. I have taking some wire out a Alarm wire and fits fine and also have no problems the door opening or closing.

Its something like this that I used https://cpc.farnell.com/pro-power/4c-alarm-black-100m/4-core-alarm-cable-black-100m/dp/CBBR6603?st=alarm wire

Cat5 patch cable used to be stranded, take four strands and fix with superglue, evostick or Boxer100 (if it's pvc insulated) -Boxer 100 is a specialist PVC cement used in the repair of PVC liner swimming pools.

Added; wires.co.uk seems to stock lots of types and sizes of wire in moderate reel sizes.

If this is the thing which bends with the door opening and fractures?

My solution was to cut off the broken bit, turn it round so good bit is at point of flexing and extend with emaneled copper wire.

Fine for my kit but not for a pro repair for others.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Braid does indeed sound like a decent option. The stuff I've got here is a little wide but I might find some that's slightly smaller.
Turning it around and shortening is what I've done a few times now, but I'm looking to do a bulk replacement on all of them as this keeps happening right when I'm changing batteries before a show. If I'm going to the trouble of bulk replacing all of them then I'd like it to be with fresh.
A piece of wire does just work. I've used a single piece taken from a ribbon cable to repair one recently and it works ok, but I don't think it's going to last that long.
MLEC is my repairer of choice for anything I can't fix myself, but Trantec seem to sell the replacement battery bays with the wires attached - I'm guessing he'd just replace them with a new bay and not need to have a source of the wire itself.

And it can only be done once.

I don't have 'bulk' and have only had to do it twice so it's not been a problem to me.

I imagine I have a spare tinsel telephone cord if you want to give it a go but soldering the stuff is a PITA and the resultant joint is then brittle and needs to be totally imobilised with glue.

I was looking at FFC cables but I can’t find 2 way on a quick search. Depends if the current capacity is enough and whether you could find a suitable length as probably the preprepared ends are the only practical termination points (not sure if you can cut and scrape off in the middle!).
