Technical Instructor (Lighting)

with duty responsibility

 

Salary £27,556 inclusive

 

Rose Bruford College is a leading provider of specialist, vocational BA degree programmes in all aspects of theatre and live performance. This post supports students studying on the College’s undergraduate and postgraduate lighting degrees, as well as the learning of students from other design, technical, management and performance courses.

As the successful candidate, you will be part of a team of Technical Instructors providing technical and logistical support for the College’s teaching, production and related activities, and the supervision and technical instruction of students. You will have a broad range of knowledge, skills and experience including:

·         Lighting for theatre and live entertainment

·         A variety of lighting control systems

·         Digital technologies and software used in entertainment lighting

You will be able to balance the conflicting demands of a busy working environment and have a strong commitment to working with and supporting students, as well as being organised, reliable and proactive. The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team, and to bring enthusiasm and dedication to the role, is essential.

The post is full time, 35 hours per week, with some Saturday working. The College offers an attractive package, with 35 days holiday a year plus bank holidays.
