LXSX Posted January 31, 2022 Share Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) EWP is looking to recruit a Technical Procurement and Logistics Assistant to work alongside our marine team. This role will directly support our Marine Operations Manager with processing daily quotes, sourcing appropriate equipment solutions using a network of suppliers, negotiating price and delivery schedules to fit with the clients budget and requirements, sourcing cost effective and efficient shipping and distribution solutions, as well as completing all relevant customs documentation. This role will require the candidate to be flexible to manage frequently changing projects and client demands, have good liaison with the warehouse team controlling the movement of product and shipping timescales, source new suppliers and build and maintain strong relationships with them. This role will be office based at our HQ in Rye, East Sussex, with working hours Monday to Friday 9-5 although we are happy to discuss flexible working hours if required. The candidate will need to have experience of procurement and logistics in any industry however a good knowledge of the technical elements associated with sound, lighting, video and installations is essential. The candidate will need to be able to work within a diverse team yet also have initiative to work alone to meet deadlines sometimes within short timescales. The candidate will ideally have a clean valid driving licence, hold a valid passport and be double vaccinated against Covid -19.
