New Lighting Desk

Now I am a sound engineer by trade but for reasons that are far too dull to go into here I also have a small amount of lighting kit that is used mainly for small parties and discos, I am currently looking to upgrade/replace the control side of this kit, so I thought I would ask for some suggestions from the board.

My kit comprises of 16 x Par 56's, a Pulsar DMX Strobe, 8 x 3 ch. LED colour changers and 4 x 4 ch. Abstract VR8 scanners.

Currently I use a Pulsar Rock Desk combined with a Pulsar 2 preset desk for the generics and then an abstract club 64 controller for the VR8's.

I don't want to (and can't really afford to) spend more than £750 on a new desk so what do people suggest,

I want something that's fairly simple but wouldn't be put off by a computer based solution.

Would I be best off using the abstract controller for the scans and just buying a decent generics desk???

Thanks in advance, Peter

And sorry that this is all a bit disco :P :o

Well I have never used it but the Zero88 Diablo would fit the bill:

"Control of 18 Generic channels": So that would cover your 15 Pars

"Control of up to 18 Fixtures": That will cover your scans and colour changers

"4 DMX Auxiliary Keys": For the strobe

there is also 108 submasters, sound to light (with built in mic), flash buttons and all that sort of stuff you need for discos etc.

great idea, but save money and buy a chauvet tiger, its the same as a diablo.. infact its made by zero for chauvet and is just screenprinted differently.
