ferretwrangler Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Hi, Yes I Know KV2 Well and know the Uk retailer too. Its a funny old system. Ugly but VERY VERY loud for what it is. Tope end is great if it has a bit of throw and the sub is spectacular. Price wise its pretty darn good too!

marc Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 I occasionally work for a company who stock most of KV2's stuff, Love working with it, sounds great, pleasure to mix with, makes life a lot easier, as it’s so clean and clear you can hear everything! As for cost, I’m not to sure, I know a powered 10in top box is about £1200 I say about, I’m sure its that price, but don’t hold me to it. Some of the boxes can be considered to be ugly, but at the end of the day, most gigs are in the dark, with a bit of light from movers, par 64's and the like, so you can hardly see it during a gig, or it’s flown! if you want a powered sub with a top box, I’m not sure you need a EX12, you can probably use a EX10 and a powered sub, if you want the details of a dealer to get prices from let me know, Marc
jamielovesmusic Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 KV2 are up and running in Harrogate. They recently supplied a huge rig at an outdoor event in Ripley Castle - the sound was superb. The ammount of decent sound they got from eight speakers was fab. One of the best active manufactuers in the World.
Captain Jones Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Hi KV2 Audio are still up and running, if you are in Ireland there are 2 dealers one in the North - Light and Sound FX based in Colraine, then in the South there is Beta Systems, both companies will be able to give you prices, but if they cannot and you need more information please contact me.
jayselway Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Live just down the road from KV2's address, and they're still there. Heard a couple of the full range boxes - can't remember the model (has the rotating top section to suit layout) - bottom end dropped out just after there was a decent amount of sub, and distorted - however, nice amount of top on it - bit harsh though. Apparently they're off to PLASA. To be honest, it could have been the installation company and how they set it all up. If so, I keep an open mind about the kit - however, it influenced my first impression of the kit. Still not really a fan of powered stuff (not being able to patch in a new amp if there is a problem, etc...) - or subs mounted on walls / ceilings, esp suspension mounts - don't ask 2p goes in pot. Jay
