Klark Teknik DN9848 Service Manual

Hello All,

Thanks for welcoming me to the Blue Room, although I had registered some years ago - but completely forgot my login details, and what email address I used to register!

Age doesn't come alone. biggrin.gif

Does anyone hold a copy of the service manual for a Klark Teknik DN9848 Loudspeaker Processor - or even some schematics / circuit diagram for it, please?

There is an issue with outputs 5 & 6 - what exactly I haven't been told.

I have been told that the issue lies with the A-D converter; however; which serves both affected channels.

My dilemma is that the architecture doesn't seem to support this claim.

Of course, a schematic would resolve this dilemma very quickly.

Any help would be appreciated on this one.

Rest assured that my investigations are ongoing and any developments will be posted immediately.

Thanks in advance

Good Afternoon Guys,

Thank you both for your help and prompt responses.

I already have a copy of the owners manual for the DN9848 @sandall, and you're absolutely right it does contain some basic block diagrams, unfortunately they are of no real help in this situation.

I haven't called Music Tribe yet, but that is most likely going to be my next port of call this afternoon.

Thanks for the link to the DN7204 manual @Sound Man.

Although it has some similar features to the DN9848, it's architecture is completely different, so it wasn't much help unfortunately.

Since my last (first) post I have made some progress.

The issues with output 5 & 6 were merely due to the settings and parameters being wildly off, with some 3-12 dbu of boost per octave on some of the parametric channels which were set as: essentially: bandpass filters, the unit couldn't cope.

I'm now having an issue getting channels 1-4 to output anything at all!

The scope is primed and ready to trace this one through.

I hope that Music Tribe can come up with a schematic sad.gif

Further to the above statement...

I have tried to contact Music Tribe by phone, e-mail and via the forum.

I've had no hits on the forum yet, but the phone number and e-mail address are now not recognised. It seems that they are no longer active.

Does anybody have current contact details for Music Tribe?

Addenum:

I have had some contact from Music Tribe via the forum, they have been incredibly unhelpful. No clues or insights, no information at all.

Very disappointing thumbdown.gif
