What hire companies do you guys use for access equipment, lifting gear, etc?

Welcome to BR, Graham. It is always a good idea to fill in your profile and tell us something about yourself. It helps responses to be pitched at the appropriate level. BR members range from enthusiastic school pupils to grimly cynical professionals working at a global level.

 

I personally used to use a wide range of suppliers but my little black book is out of date and I wouldn't give just anyone open access when it wasn't.

Location is a big factor. Who is helpful in Brighton may not be useful in Leeds or Birmingham. Whether you can hire everything from one place to save on transport costs or each from separate sources to get what you want/need.

He is in Blackpool so yes. Wrong side of the pennines for me to have any useful suggestions, other than to say if it's for show use I would avoid the high street types (hss etc) as they have no out of hours support if you have any problems.
