Sharing(receiving) video files.

Recommended Posts

During the current shutdown of our theatres, I'm needing to get a lot of our connected artists to send in self-taped video content. I've never done much of this myself and wondered if anyone has any tips on how I should ask people to submit their content? I want to make it as simple as possible for the creators, who will range from tech-savvy people (who'll make it happen) to those who just want to record with a phone. The clips will be 5-15 mins in length so probably not emailable for many people.

Tips?

For Android users, "share" to Google Drive then share the link with you. That way they are using their storage allocation, rather than yours, and the file remains available until they delete it.

I have a 1TB OneDrive attached to the theatre's MS 365 account and use that by creating a sub-folder for all sorts of high capacity content then send them a link so they can save direct to that folder. That also means they can upload extra content or changes as they need.
