Audio Visual Technician

Full-time positions

 

We are looking for exceptional AV technicians to join our talented and versatile team. You should have a strong technical background across all AV disciplines, a pro-active attitude and above all a willingness to get involved and make things happen. In return, we offer an excellent opportunity to develop your experience both technically and more broadly across production management, all within a supportive team environment. You will be able to demonstrate a track record within the live events industry, having worked with similar agencies or freelance in the delivery of conferences and events for public, private and third sector clients for at least 2 years. You will thrive under pressure and be highly motivated to work as both a self-starter and as part of a larger team on more complex projects. A passion for all things AV is essential to ensure we continue to be at the forefront in our industry.

 

As an integral part of the technical production team, you will be expected to fulfill a wide range of key tasks to support the technical production and warehouse operations for the company. You will be involved in the preparation, setup and operation of a wide range of Stage Set, Audio, Video, Lighting, Rigging, and IT equipment.

 

 

Key duties

  • Providing support to Production Managers
  • Taking the technical lead on small – medium events
  • Check in and check out equipment using rental software
  • Prep and de-prep equipment in and out of the warehouse
  • On-site setup, operation and dismantling of AV equipment
  • Maintenance and servicing of equipment including PAT testing and repairs
  • Production of scale floorplans, using Visio / AutoCAD
  • Ensure equipment is safe and secure at all times
  • Delivery of equipment to event venues using company vans
  • Booking of freelancers
  • Liaising with suppliers, booking X-hire equipment
  • Loading and unloading of vans / trucks
  • Travel around the UK providing technical support on events
  • To administer the systems and procedures provided for the management and tracking of equipment and assets
  • To obtain quotations, place orders and organise cross hire equipment and book freelance crew and sub-contractors where appropriate.
  • Compiling AV quotes and client liaison.
  • To create and maintain cost-schedules for projects.
  • Undertake site inspections and reports

A full, clean UK driving license and experience driving vans is essential.

 

 

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING

The position carries an excellent package, with a salary range of £22,000 to £30,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including contributory pension scheme and non-contractual profit-related bonus scheme. The post is based at our main office in Leyland.
