Hello guys, I am wortking on a project that consists mainly on architectural ambient lighting for a big corporate event.

The venue is an abandon port that has few to nothing ambient lighting so the client want to ilumnate the places where people is going to be walking and eating etc. The event consists mainly on food stands but those already have their own lights. It has Outdoor and indoor places.

I am looking for SGM flood type fixtures and was wondering if anyone have any recomendation on similar type of fixtures.

And another question, is it possible to calculate the amount of lux or lumens I need for specific surfaces? How can I make this calculation?

Thanks in advance

How much money do you/your client have, there are some amazing film fixtures from Arri called the SkyPanel which provide a serious amount of light, and colour.

Try this for some light reading: https://www.atp-inst...vels-workplace/

Hi, my client have a big budget for what he told me. Those Arri fixtures looks good but I need to be able to control it with DMX and make some gradient color changes over time.

5 pin DMX in and through, according to the specs.

Like Andy says, they are fully DMX controllable. Might want to take another look at the specs?

Skypanels are only rated to ip20 and aren’t great for architectural... I use them a lot for broadcast but they are notoriously expensive but great as soft light or to light buildings - they are way too wide an angle. P5s, P10s from SGM are superb for buildings, Q7s for trees and large areas
