1984 Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 Hey,So as the title suggests I'm trying to get the Congo Jnr (Running Cobalt not V8 but the one before v7.3?) to cooperate with some ShowTec LED pixel bars, Ive found a similaraly named template in the ShowTec section of the template wizard however the ascending channekls of the templates done match the options on the fixture, and the only one I can get to do anything useful is "4CH--" which I only have control of the whole fixture as one cell, (presumably RGBW/intensity) not individual LEDS which I would have expected the 12 channel tempate to, like non RGB sunstrips do in the attributes page?I can only get the fixtures to change colour from the encoders and go plain white (which works on the intensity + - or the roller on the magic sheet) The attributes page table doesnt seem to do anything?I cant record the colours in this template whith them not turning off even if I plot in a cue with them at 0 intensity and all colour encoders at 0? Anyone suggest a more suitable template or a better way of using this fixture, I'm a bit tight on time as its Panto season!I would love it if I could control each LED, and maybe have them respond to the colour dynamic effects too! Any ideas??
indyld Posted December 8, 2018 Posted December 8, 2018 It seems the widest mode the fixture has is 36 channel which I guess is RGB x 12. (Maybe I'm looking at the wrong model). If I can't find a fixture profile that works and don't fancy making one, I go for multiple general RGB plus virtual dimmer and create groups to make whole fixtures. Can't comment on the Congo I'm afraid. If it doesn't do virtual dimmers then I'd make a blackout palette. Doesn't help with intensity FX but at least overcomes the issues with the intensity being LTP. (Edit to add: If the fixture has W too, all the above applies just an extra channel using a RGBW profile)
