IA76 Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 HI. We are planning on using a Panasonic AW-UE70 4k camera to stream 4k video over the local LAN to our streaming pc which runs Wirecast 11. Can anyone see any issues with this? We currently use a hd-sdi camera connected to a blackmagic card in our live streaming pc so streaming over the LAN is new to us. How will we add the video stream from the camera to Wirecast? We are using Wirecast 11. The manual for the camera is HERE
abbotsmike Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Issues? CPU overhead. Wirecast is processor hungry at 720P, more so at 1080P and I can't imagine how bad at 4k.
Pete McCrea Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 What’s decision has got you to the point of wanting to stream 4K? Is it just because everything in Curry’s is 4K, or have you a specific need for 4K? I’d have thought you’ll have a whole load of hassle for no real benefit.

We have a powerful streaming pc so this shouldn;t be an issue What's decision has got you to the point of wanting to stream 4K? Is it just because everything in Curry's is 4K, or have you a specific need for 4K? I'd have thought you'll have a whole load of hassle for no real benefit. We need to replace our camera regardless, and as we have a streaming pc and internet bandwidth capable of streaming 4k we thought why not!
empyfree Posted December 13, 2018 Posted December 13, 2018 Have you bought the camera yet? At that price point you should be able to arrange a demo which will make sure you’re not dissapointed. We stayed away from the 4K models as the HD (He130) has far superior low light performance.
