Hire Manager

Tower Productions Ltd. are seeking an experienced Hire Manager. Thisis a full-time position based in our Edinburgh warehouse. The typical workingweek is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, but due to the nature of our business, thesehours may vary with weekend and evening work required as trading patternsdictate.

 

The successfulcandidate will have extensive experience of managing a large rental inventoryand be familiar with warehouse operational procedures. This is a customerfacing role requiring close attention to detail.

 

Reportableto the Managing Director, the role includes the following responsibilities:-

 

· Overall responsibilityfor warehouse operations

· Management of dry hiresand sales from initial contact through to completion

· Stock Control acrossall projects.

· Advise on currentindustry best practise, and maintain a knowledge of current legislation and lawpertaining to the entertainment industry and specifically electrical systems.

· Liaising with in-house projectmanagement team

· Purchasing

· Overall responsibility forthe equipment testing regime.

· Overall responsibilityfor quality control of equipment ensuring compliance with our ISO 9001 QualityManagement System

Essential Criteria

 

· Previousmanagement experience of a warehouse environment

 

· Experience with hire managementsoftware such as RentalPoint

 

· Extensiveknowledge of lighting and power equipment as used in the entertainment industry

 

· Excellentnumeracy and communication skills

 

· StrongLeadership skills, with a proven ability for task delegation

 

 

 

Desirable Criteria

 

· Entertainmentindustry site experience

 

· Electricalqualification such as City and Guilds 2382, or Creative Skillset in TheManagement of Electrical Systems in the Entertainment Industry

 

· Workingknowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

 

· Healthand Safety Management qualification such as NEBOSH.
