Hi all,

Whilst browsing Thomann (and other retailers) I noticed some huge price drops across the entire X32/XR range. Circa 30-50%! x32 racks are now going out for ~£650

Something new on the horizon? Not surprising as the platform is 6+ years old.

The "midas" range appears to be holding at the moment.

Looks like they're all sold out! I heard a rumour that Thomann was going to stop selling Behringer products but can't remember where I read this or if it's true!?

Just noticed that DV247 also has them at these prices so am wondering if Behringer have something new coming out!?

Thomann did have a major falling out with Behringer a few months ago and stopped selling their products. Looks like they may have resolved that now. I wonder if the price drop is related to their making up...

Thomann only stopped selling Behringer gear for a short period last year, the products (albeit a reduced range) soon reappeared.

As far as the reductions go, it's all retailers as far as I can see.

Thomann are well known for playing hardball with manufacturers. Behringer are probably one of the few with enough muscle to resist.

What'll be interesting with these price cuts is the effect on other console brands. Will we see reductions on A&H QU, Soundcraft Expression, etc.? If not, they're going to struggle to compete. The X32 might not be everyone's favourite console but it's perfectly acceptable for many applications and hard to justify spending £500+ more on something similar from another manufacturer.
