Danny Bee
Hello, It's my first time posting on here. Can anyone advise me of a good Outdoor Event Site Layout planning / mapping software program please? TIA Danny

emsgeorge
Depends on what you are starting off with. As above, sketchup is good, but if you want what the rest of the industry uses to add your specific things, like cable runs, vehicle routes, medical centres etc etc, then they al use bluebeam. Bluebeam is a markup software, so you get your plan sent by organisers, and then you add your infrastructure by simply dragging and dropping. Its literally that simple, and theres thousands of specific icons you can use. And, when people move around things, makes it really easy to move your infrastructure to cope. Our lot now even draw inside plans of marquees used as medical centres, drawing bed positions and 'bays' in there too - means sparkies know where to put sockets, our guys know where beds go, and marquee people know where to run curtain rails etc.
