Amy Worrall
I’m looking for a trolly to store my lighting fixtures, with a couple of 48mm bars to hang them on. But I don’t know where to buy such a thing! Any pointers?
Dave m
Doughty make somethink afaik?Easiest is to make one from key clamp and scaf - that way it will fit your spaces and go through doors
the kid
Showtec / highlite do them you build as you need. http://www.highlite.nl/Shop/Products/Stage-Rigging/Rigging/Rigging-Accessories/Meatrack-side-carrier. Depends what lights and how many you want to store. Keeklamp solution would maybe be cheapest if you can make a base board for it all also. Ynot
Search for 'Meat Rack' and you'll likely find a few options to consider. :)
Jivemaster
Start by surveying what you want to rack and where you want it to travel, Then consider how much you want to push.
kitlane
Last time I bought one (late 2011) I got it through AC. "TCP 4 x 90" Meatrack" Cost around £480 + VAT

Seriously, you often see them on ebay, quite often with bars of parcans as lots of people are getting rid of those. For instance there is a set of 6 x 4 lamp bars in a short meatrack going for £100 at the moment.
sunray
A bit light weight but we welded some extra bars on a Dress rail (market trader style).

They would rather us spend £500 with a 'reputable' supplier than a quid on ebay. In fact, when faced with this type of conundrum we usually just pay for it out of our own pockets. Have a friendly company that is already a supplier, that will buy anything, stick 20% handling fee on it, and resell it.

I haven't been able to find any on there…
Stuart91
I've actually got two I could potentially part with - they were bought for a specific project but it didn't come off so they have been sitting on top of a container ever since. (The idea was we would load them up with pre-wired movers and LEDs and roll them into schools for lunchtime concerts with zero setup time) Drawback of course is that they are in Glasgow and transport would be an obstacle, but I think at this point we'd be happy to let them go for the scrap value. However you might get on better asking round local lighting companies - many will have a "parcan graveyard" that they are slowly getting rid of. I haven't been able to find any on there… Errr, I searched for meatrack... just make sure you search descriptions too. The auction I was referring to is for 6 of four lamp ACL Par64 bars for ground or hanging This is for a small 60" long rack for 8 x 4 lamp bars from the look of it.
