Programming & controlling 4 basic Moving head LEDs with a tablet

Hello all,

I'm currently building a music production and dj studio and am planning to fit 4 moving head LEDs when finished, something like these:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4PCS-30W-RGBW-Moving-Head-Stage-Light-DMX512-Gobo-Club-Disco-DJ-Party-Lighting/112560922351?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I would like to have a tablet loaded with a few pages of chases and presets so that while I'm in the room djing or producing I can quickly and easily switch up the vibe.

Is there anything anyone has used they would recommend? I also need a way to get the tablet to send DMX to the lights, thinking of going wireless DMX.

Thanks

Hagop

Luminair (apple only)

You'll also need a wireless access point (assuming you're not linking into an existing wifi network, which I would try to avoid) and a DMX output device such as Enttec ODE https://www.enttec.c...n-DMX-ethernet/

Personally I'd avoid wireless DMX as you are going to have to run power to the lights anyway, and you have to power the wireless DMX receiver units using plug in power adapters so it all gets a bit messy, copmpared to 4 XLR cables.

Be aware those fixtures are quite noisy (fan/motor noise) can get a bit annoying if you are doing something quiet.

Thanks so much for the response. Super helpful. Looks like an awesome combo.

I'm now thinking of creating 5 uplighters in the room used LED tape and I think I will use another entec device to control them via DMX as well - something like this
