BigYinUK
Hi all Just been testing the EPQ2000. Does anyone know how the limit switch / light is supposed to work? There's next to nothing about it in the manual. I switched it on on my amp and drove it up to 100% distortion but the limit lights didn't come on. Is that right? Regards with the limit switch engaged and each channel to maximum, I don't believe I have ever hit the limit lights in 7 years. at least I have not seen it lit. but then I don't push inputs heavily. BigYinUK
Found the answer for myself: If the Limit switch is ON then you never see the Limit LEDs. If the switch is OFF, then the Limit LEDs light if you overdrive the amp.
alistermorton
IOW if the limit switch is on, the amp is limited to avoid it being overdriven? Makes sense.
BigYinUK
IOW if the limit switch is on, the amp is limited to avoid it being overdriven? Makes sense. To me, it would have made more sense to call the Blue LEDs "Clip" or similar. Calling them "Limit" implies that the limiter is coming in, which it only does if the limit switch is ON and then you don't see the Limit LEDs light. Bit arse about face if you ask me, but then it is a Behringer product :)
