Stuart91 Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 I've had an unusual request from a customer - they're looking for a grey coloured starcloth. They are happy with the usual white LEDs, but want the cloth itself to be grey. White is too light, black is too dark. I know I'd be able to get a custom job from one of the usual suspects, but that's going to be significantly more expensive. It's a long shot, but has anyone come across any off-the-shelf cloths in this colour? The other thing I'm wondering about is possibly getting them a white or black cloth and putting some sort of gauze in front to soften the colour a little. Not sure if that's a sensible option or not. I've only done this in the past with a white cyc, which seemed to work OK, but I'm not sure whether a darker shade is going to be more trouble than it's worth...
ImagineerTom Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 It's common practice in the marquee parties world to take a regular black star cloth and hang pleated white gauze in front of it (think grannies net curtains) to male something softer which can also be tinted with uplighters if required whilst still retaining the star cloth aesthetic

Never seen a grey star cloth.
