IRW Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Hi All,We have a Look Solutions Power Tiny that has somehow ended up with it's circuit board covered in smoke fluid- does anyone have any tips for the best way to clean this off? Ours has stopped working and I have a feeling this may have something to do with it! Thanks, Ian
ianknight Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 I'd be tempted to try some Isoprop Alcohol and a brush with medium stiff bristles - it cleans most things for me before I resort to acetone but that can remove legend printing and dissolve some plastics.
bigclive Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Rinsing it with isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) would be my first choice. Note that isopropanol is flammable. Second choice if no isopropanol was available and there was plenty of time to allow drying would be plain clean water, keeping it away from any components that could be damaged by water ingress. The smoke fluid is water based, so it couldn't really do more harm.
