techydave
Hello, So I'm looking for a lighting controller and want to pick the brains of the forum. I'm after something that I can record subs/scenes that I can play back simultaneously, preferably on a bank of faders. It's for an install and the idea is it is simple enough for a general member of staff to turn on and start pushing faders. The LX in question is 6 x Cameo Pixar Pro 650 and 6 x ADJ 12P Hex LED PAR. Ideally what I'd like is something that I can set some colours as scenes on some faders and some chases as scenes on others. I've been looking at Stairville DMX Invader 2420 and the Eurolite DMX Move Control 512, anyone had any experience of either of these and will either of them do what I want? I'm also open to other suggestions from things people have used, as usual though there's not a lot in the budget. As someone that regularly uses AVO & ETC I'm finding it a challenge looking for something smaller that fits the bill. Any suggestions/comment greatly appreciated, Dave
IRW
Have you come across the Jands Stage CL? Very intuitive little console.
Don Allen
With the new software v1.3 allowing 24 fixtures and easy access to zoom and strobe, it is an easy to use fader based consolle for beginners. My preference is for LSC Mantra Lite, but the Stage CL is half the price.
Jevans
With the new software v1.3 allowing 24 fixtures and easy access to zoom and strobe, it is an easy to use fader based consolle for beginners. My preference is for LSC Mantra Lite, but the Stage CL is half the price. It's definitely not in the UK, I was given pricing for both last week. There's about a 25% difference. For what it's worth, in that price bracket, it looks like we'll be looking at the Zero88 FLX S when we need to replace our Jester over both of the above and the ETC Coloursource - we looked at all four consoles at PLASA and thought the FLX S came out on top for beginner usability. jack2609
Hi Dave, The advise I would always give is to try out all of the options you are looking to purchase. If you are interested we can arrange for someone to come and take you through all of the options mentioned in this thread. We could even leave them with you for a short while for you to fully evaluate. I have sent you a PM, should you wish to take me up on this offer. welshlight
Have a look at the ETC colorsource 20, it's very powerful for a small desk, and reasonably priced.

Uriahdemon
Hi Dave, If it is any use I can thoroughly recommend the Zero88 FLX. Further to that Ed (who replied to you previously) and the other chaps there at Eaton have been really supportive in getting me up and running.Great company with a great product for the bucks.
