sleah
I saw the Zero88 FLX in person at PLASA, only a brief glimpse though. It does look rather tasty :) For me the Colorsoure is a little 'prettier', but that wouldn't stop me buying the FLX if I was in the market... Anyone know what the price point is for the FLX? I didn't get chance to speak to anyone from Eaton/Zero88. Does it compare with the Colorsource range? Shame Zero88 were tucked away in a corner of PLASA, I didn't think they were there until I spotted the stand on about my fifth circuit of Olympia. Considering Zero88 have been one of the back bone of theatre lighting control for many years, I was surprised they weren't a bit closer to the other big players
Stuart91
Shame Zero88 were tucked away in a corner of PLASA. I was surprised they weren't a bit closer to the other big players  There's something of a tradition with this. One year, back in the Earls Court days, the Zero88 stand consisted of a sign giving directions to a local pub, where they'd taken over the function room with a range of consoles and fixtures to try them out on. It was a good environment to get an extended hands-on demo of kit, but I don't think it earned them many new customers. Exhibiting at these kinds of shows is ferociously expensive so it's not surprising that companies try to minimise their outlay.
jonhole
We made a decision a few years ago that we weren't going to exhibit at every tradeshow just for the sake of it. We're investing much more into our online presence, multimedia content, training and onsite visits. We're also having a smaller presence at a larger number of tradeshows globally. We had a fantastic PLASA showing people FLX S with it's "RigSync" feature (which won a PLASA Award for Innovation) - I don't think we could have been much busier, even if we were somewhere else in the hall!
