Noisy Martin Mac 500

Hi Everyone.

I have a couple of Mac 500 which have developed a Hum/Buzzing coming from the base of the fixture after the lamp has struck, one is noticably louder than the other. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Other than the noise, the fixtures work fine.

Hi

The noise is the ballast, you might find that tightening the bolts that hold it to the casing minimises the noise/vibration but if not it will get progressively worse over time.

I've just tested some ballasts I have in stock to sell to one of my customers with the same problem, if you need some I have used ones that are fully working and not noisy - also have loads more martin (and many others) parts and units available.
