helpmeplease
I cannot for the life of me figure out what VT stands for, i.e. in this post http://www.blue-room.org.uk/index.php?showtopic=65848. I do not work in this industry, but am not on a project that has me working with projection specialists and I am trying to determine what they are talking about, any help you could provide me would be great
andy_s
VT stands for video tape and is broadcasting jargon for any pre-recorded material played back during an otherwise live presentation or broadcast.
helpmeplease
Thank you so so much for helping me. As someone who doesn't know the technical aspect of this industry, I seriously spent the last 3 hours confused. Enjoy your day, thanks so much! andy_s
You're welcome. Although I don't suppose actual tape features in the process any more, the name persists.

sandall
Enjoy :D Edit Suite 2 was named "rip, scratch" for a very good reason :( Unfortunately VT Xmas tapes came to an abrupt end when the Mirror turned a bit of editing of a Princess Anne interview into a front-page story
