pete10uk
Could someone in the know point me in the correct direction to achieve what I'm after. I'm working with an AVO pearl 2008, I have some Chauvet Intimidator Trio Moving heads, one of the features is a zoom to turn the fixture between spot and wash and another is a rotate on the zoom to create a multi beam twist effect. I have programmed the lights to a particular scene but would like to have a fader to gently move the focus in and out with the fader and another to start the rotate to varying degrees. I've tried to program the focus on to a fader but as soon as the fader is activated the zoom shoots to the other extremity, when you lower the fader it has no effect on the focus, the only way to remove the zoom is to lower and activate the original scene. Do I need to edit the profile to change the zoom tribute from lip to http (or visa versa)? or is there a programming trick? Cheers
timsabre
The zoom jumps because it is an LTP attribute (pretty much everything except intensity is LTP), these don't normally fade with the fader but go to programmed position when the fader hits a certain point. Then it will remain at that value until something else sets it, lowering the fader will not change it back to its previous setting. This would require "Release" which I don't think is available in Pearl Classic, only the newer Titan consoles can do that. You need to put the playback into mode 2 which allows you to fade the LTP values by position of the fader - this is in the [Edit Times] menu. It's described in the Timing section of the Memories chapter in the manual.
