one dmx cable and two desks??

Hi

 

Im sure I am wrong but heh you never know.

 

I have masterpiece 108 desk and a zero88 sirrius 24, I want to use the sirrius for the generics and the masterpiece for the moving heads, is it possible to have both desks sending data down the same cable using a Y lead?? (data to seperate DMX addresses ofcourse)

 

 

im sure this cant be done but just want to check

In simple terms, you can't. You MIGHT be able to use the 2nd pair in the cable if "proper" DMX cable has been installed. An alternative would be a DMX merge unit.

It can't be done. You need either a DMX merge, or to run two separate universes of DMX (My recommendation).
