Which 6ch dimmer

One of my clients is looking to replace their ageing and battle-worn 6ch dimmer hire stock. (Light processor Paradime)

 

Which replacement would you recommend from the current selection?

 

These only need to be of a fairly modest spec 6 way/10A with 16A outputs socopex outputs are good too.

Betapack 3 with 16A outputs? Could easily be modded to have a socapex out as well.

Or the Rack 6 from Zero88 and a little cheaper than the BetaPack 3? Can come fitted with a Socapex out too and the same sort of sturdy electronics as you find in the rest of the Zero88 range.

 

I know I'm going to jinx this by saying it but I've never had to do major repairs on Rack 6 for anyone except one triac for a customer who was a bit lax connecting kit he hadn't checked :P

He is trying to get rid of some paradimes!

 

Anyway don't you find the mechanical design to be a bit rubbish? We had great difficulty keeping ours in one piece in a hire environment, they were basically held together with a few M3 bolts which would strip or break. Maybe they improved the design later.

We've discontinued the Paradim PatchPack now, I'm afraid.

 

As has been mentioned above, both the BetaPack 3 and Rack 6 are available with 16a or Socapex outputs.
