ukdeveloper Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Could someone tell me how to achieve the reverb effect the same as on George Michael - Jesus To A Child https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulhoKujT2G8 Where the reverb seems to be more prominent on the high frequencies only? Im very new at this so nothing over technical in the replies ** laughs out loud **. C.
Shez Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 You could high-pass filter the send to the reverb? Most will have settings built in to do that sort of thing to a greater or lessor extent.
MarkPAman Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Sounds almost like the sidechain of a de-esser has been sent to the reverb unit. The reverb is mostly on the bits you'd usually be wanting to get rid of.
laolu Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Sounds like a bright plate. I use it a lot on ballads, when our students have their Karaoke competitions. On my Lexicon (MPX-1) it is preset No. 45, although there it is named "Hall 4 PA". Maybe not 100% exactly like G. M., but close, I'd say.
