I don't think you can. The philosophy they're using (I think) is that the LD places lights on a bar wherever they want, and it's the electricians' job to figure out how to power them, so it's not a feature that VW would add for designers. Don't necessarily agree with this, but that may the thinking behind it.

You can draw/model pretty much anything in Vectorworks. Could clarify what you are trying to achieve and ask a slightly more detailed question?

I'm trying to represent our Andolite IWBs and the circuits which are fixed to them. Something like the tick marks feature would do it however I don't just want to go along with the text tool for numbering if I can avoid it!

I would create symbols for a socket box with custom fields that you can use numbering tools to increment and display the number next to each socket box. A bit like channeling up lighting fixtures.
