Technical Winter School 2016

 

Dates: 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th February<br style="outline: 0px;">Venue: Pitlochry Festival Theatre

 

The programme for the 2016 Federation of Scottish Theatre’s annual Technical Winter School is now available.

 

Winter School will take place from the 2^nd to the 4^th February 2016 at Pitlochry Festival Theatre.

 

Here is a list of some of the courses that will be running:

 

• Working at Height for Theatre Technicians
• Rigging Awareness
• Pyrotechnic Safety Awareness
• ION Lighting Desks
• Vectorworks
• Electrical Fundamentals
• Emergency First Aid
• QLab
• PAT Testing
• Presentation Skills for Technical and Production professionals
• Health and Safety for Venues”, “Everything you wanted to know but were too afraid to ask…”
• Handling Difficult Conversations/Situations for Technical and Production professionals
• Introduction to Projection Mapping
• ROBE - The Robin range and new products that have been introduced for theatre in the last year.
• Phillips Vari-Lite VL1000/1100 and recent additions to the family VL4000spot

There will also be company stands and demonstrations during the Winter School and details of these are to follow.

 

Creative Carbon Scotland will be around each day and will be able to answer question related to your green credentials. They will also run surgery appointments that you can book through Creative Carbon Scotland if you are interested in specific advice. Lunch, tea and coffee will be provided and are included in the costs for those attending courses.

 

All costs do NOT include VAT. This will be charged on top of the outlined fee.
