AndyJones Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Hello guys, I'm trying to replace the pump on my Magnum 2000. But I can't work out how to take the sides off to get to the screws. Does anyone know what I'm missing? Or even better does anyone have a service manual? Thanks!
TheSmokeMan Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hi Andy, You do not have to remove the pump mounts to remove the pump. If you disconnect the fluid input pipe and also disconnect the brass fitting from the heater you can then manipulate (see man-handle) the pump (inlet/short side first) out of the rubber mounts. Once the input side is free you can then slide the output (longer) side through the rubber mount. If you still need to access the screws then you need to remove the hanging bracket and bolts..then the front/rear end plate screws (hex head) and then carefully 'tap' the side panel off... It is much easier to try the first method... refitting is simply a reverse 'manipulation'..
