nunny
Hi all, We're after sourcing the deep blue for a HQI 400w fitting, the ones we have are made by venture and we find they are a very light blue, we have had deep blue in the past, but are struggling to source the correct lamp. Thanks in advance. Mike

nunny
Ushio? http://www.ushio.com/products/generallighting/mh-colorlite.php Hi there, Do you have experience with these? Are they good saturated colours? Mike
musht
Ushio and Venture are only people can think of apart from possibly some Chinese lamps that make coloured MH TBH. BLV used to but might be only 250W.
adam2
I have used blue metal halide from both Venture lighting and from BLV, though in lower wattages. Neither gave a saturated blue, more of a sky blue. Bluer than daylight but not saturated. I am not aware of any readily available blue discharge lamp that gives a saturated blue. I think that you will need a blue colour filter to achieve a deep or saturated blue. I have achieved an excellent deep saturated blue by means of cobalt blue glass in front of a blue metal halide lamp or by means of deep blue gell.
