grahamrobertslx
How do you wire yours? Looking at chaining a load of Birdies together but want a system that is neat and cost effective. Ideas? G

pmiller056
IEC connector again. Depending on what you buy, the tail of cable on the lamp can be very short and awkward to rewire. If you rewire, remember to use a cable that will survive the heat. Peter
Paul O
I have some with IEC plugs and some with 15A plugs on short leads - I've also made up a string of 15A sockets using 'T' connectors to make footlight strings easy to connect.
kgallen
As an exception to 15A on everything else tungsten-wise, I went for 13A (black) plugs so I could use a 13A 4-way (black) plug board (without a neon or integral fuse), which then has a 15A plug. As others have said, the tails on the P16's are so short, there is not much you can do with them (even the tails on Thomas P16's are pretty short). IEC multi-ways are available, but they are relatively hard to come by/expensive, hence plunging for the 13A approach. The plugtop fuse concern tends to be mute as the birdies are usually in a short-throw accessible position like the stage front if used as footlights.Kevin
