mdryan.no1
what mode is best suited for recording cues for theatre /stage productions,A mixture of generics , fixtures and Led pars,
niclights
I don't think there is an answer to this. All modes are suited - it's a personal preference. By channel = just controls in the programmerBy fixure = all controls of all fixtures in the programmerBy stage = all controls of all fixtures whose intensity is above zero
Judge
I find that generally the method that works best is Record by fixture. With trackingIt is probably the method that will give you the least headaches while editing, and at the same time give you the advantages of tracking.Works for me anyway
timsabre
I agree with Judge, however if you're not experienced with tracking cues (where you only record the changes between cues, and levels set in previous cues continue to "show through") then Record by Stage can give less confusing results. But it's harder to edit cues afterwards as if you want to change a level you may have to edit multiple cues to do it.
