Hi,

did not find any related thread so opened this one.

My Sanyo projector has a broken lamp, so I had to replace. When I removed the defective lamp, I could see that a filter seemed to be damaged as well. I browsed through the Service manual but was not able to determine, which part I need to order/replace.

I attached two photos showing the projector w/o the lamp and the red/pink optical filter. Unfortunately the service manual does not mention this very part.

I would like to know I anyone can determine which part this is exactly and where to buy the replacement.

Thank you in advance

Steven

Hi

The Lens is either L03-12 ( Lens Integrator in) P/n 9450789107

or

LO3-13 (Lens integrator out UV) P/n 9450836528

Lens LO3-12 is the first lens after the lamp and LO3-13 Is the one after lensLO3-12 - PLEASE Note t lens LO3-12) is made up of small squares - vary rare this goes (unless dropped) parts are available from Panasonic - you mentioned it has a pink filter over it?? - then I presume you are looking at LO3-12 - PLEASE be a bit more clear on what lens you need

I can source the parts for you if you don't have a Panasonic account

Hi Gerry,

it is the lens directly next to the lamp (with squares), so supposedly L03-12. No idea how it got damaged, projector never fell down. The lamp itself had to be replaced as the filament was torn and the inner glas, that holds the filament, was broken. Glas bulb itself was intact.

Any advice where to buy/how to replace? No details given in the Service manual.

Cheers,

Hi Steven

I have never changed one of these on a PL-V Series - but have done them on other Sanyo projectors - I have checked with Panasonic parts and these are available

On later Sanyo Projectors (XP100/200 Series this part is stuck onto the lower case of the optical block and is not available as a spare part - looking at the service manua , it has a part number so its interchangeable ,l I think you have to open up the optical block to gain access to it and it should just lift out - but be careful as you need to avoid lifting all the mirrors out - these are installed in various configarations and need to be put back the same way

Is the Lens cracked? -

Hey Gerry,

the lens actually does not seem to be cracked, but some sort of (protective?) film seems to peel off. I am thinking of cleaning the beamer from the dust and just replacing the lamp to see if that does the trick. What do you think about that?

Regarding the lamp: I think I will not go for the original spare part, but a mid-price lamp instead (brand called "ruby", utilizing original lamp). Any advice?

Again, thank you!

What problem do you have with this?? - I don't think the film issue will cause any problem of the projected image - normally cleaning of the lcd panels is required - just project a white image and de-focus the unit - normally will see red dots over the image and a very careful clean of the lcds will cure this - beware of the flexi cables as these are very sensitive to static.

As for lamps? - being an ex Sanyo service centre I had to fit the correct Sanyo lamp - have used cheaper lamps on Epsom/Sony and these are fine - would try and purchase one with the housing already fitted
