Automat!c
Hi All , I got a problem with my patching if anyone can help me solve ? Our lighting desk is a Zero 88 Fat Frog 48 channels dimmers is 64 way chillies hard wired, The lx grid 1- 67 some of the patch sockets are missing like 29 / 30 / 31 / 32 I can not remember the exact ones of the top of my head , Ok when I clear the numbers of the manual patch and re do them in the order I rigged ie channel 1 is patch 7 channel 2 is patch 14 for example , The problem is I cannot use patch 33/34/35/36/37 on one of the lx bars but if I put the channels back to default channel 1 for patch 1 etc it works on the problem lx bar 33/34/35/36/37 I cannot figure this out or is it something simple ...? Hope this makes sense Ta Automatic
vinntec
The patching on a Fat Frog is fairly fool proof so I can assume you are patching the channels correctly. However I suspect that you might not be saving your changes before starting to use them? You have to exit from patch first back to desk setup. from there you have to exit desk setup - at which point you are asked to confirm if you want to save the changes. Unless you reply Yes at this point nothing will happen to the patch (nor if you stay in super user without saving the patch). If you are doing this correctly and the patch doesn't work, then next suspect might be the internal battery especially if the date, for example, is not being held? However first double check you are saving the patch correctly.
groggy
Haven't used a frog for ages but have you put the desk into Wide mode?
kgallen
If you have software 10.9 or later, when you are within manual patch, you can press the preview button to 'flash out' the patch you're looking for. This might help you find the socket to DMX channel association. Have you got any fixtures patched that are occupying that DMX address range? vinntec
Doesn't it make you mad when someone asks a question then doesn't come back to check if anyone has answered? http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif
