Barreller
Does anybody have a source of a rod antenna for a WT4800 receiver (at a sensible price!!) or is it a case of DIY?
bruce
a cheap and simple option is to get a telescopic BNC swivel antenna - this one on eBay is £2.67, from china - and only extend it to the same length as the original. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BNC-Male-Connector-6-Sections-Telescopic-Antenna-Aerial-Silver-Tone-/111529292233 I got something similar from CPC once, but can’t find that exact part - searching for “BNC Antenna” gets similar, but they either aren’t the right length (although some can be trimmed) or don’t have the right angle BNC. It needs to be about 90mm. Thanks for the post.
bruce
Then buy it, or something similar, pull off the extending bit, chop it to length, and put a bit of heat shrink over the cut end.
revbobuk
You could try one of these from UKDJ. They look to be about the length you describe.
