I am looking to revamp my auditorium video system. I need to be able to put video onto my cyc which is 50 ft x 20 ft (15.5m x 6m) From a distance of about 30 ft (9m). Most likely I will be able to projector map using Arkaos Pro. But I am open to suggestions.

TIA

Is this with stage lighting etc? if so..

You are going to need a very powerful projector with a 1.3:1 lens for a 50ft image.

Start with a 10k projector ideally in HD to get an idea of the brightness you need.

Thats a very wide screen to do with a single 10k (probably!) but its difficult to say exactly what you'll need, as Jason points out other light will have an impact as will other things like rigging positions etc... If your looking to buy and do have the budget for it then get someone in to demo units to see if theyre what you want rather than spending a lot of money based on some advice off the internet and it not being what you'd hoped for.

BUT judging by the shape of your screen id say you probably want to do a wide screen blend of 2 projectors, which arkaos will do for you.

As your in the US im not sure what your nearest supplier would be, but perhaps the people you got your arkaos from?

In what regards is 10,000 lumens "very bright"??

Edge blended 20k projectors would be my suggestion with the blend done in projector not in the mediaserver.

Hi Tom,

I'm not sure what 'very bright' you are referencing but I cant see it?

it feels as though your suggestion is a stab in the dark (as was mine but backed with the point we just dont know what the OP needs or is trying to do or can afford etc...) with no real backing for it.
