richardash1981 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I'm helping organise sound for a touring band coming to a local church, which doesn't have anything useful in the way of sound installed. I had been collecting PA hire quotes, but the band have now offered to bring a (hired) d&b Q-series system with them, and I'm trying to convince myself it will 1. fit in the venue, and 2. do the job. The d&b Q series brochure tells me a lot (and is generally reassuring), but I can't find one piece of information, which is how tall the Z5013 wind-up pole (used between the sub and top cabinet) will go?The nave of the venue is 9m wide and 18m long (from the front edge of the stage to the back wall, so I'm mostly worried about throw and not blasting the front row (who are about 2m from the stage). The ceiling is ~12m up, so we have the option to wind the tops up as far as they will go, but I don't know how far that is! I'm assuming that the sub/subs will be sufficiently diffuse not to greatly bother the audience sat on the floor one/either side of the stage.
the kid Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Just had a look at out K&M ones which I dont see being much different and that was 150cm fully extended so your tops will sit about 2m from the ground. You could always use a pair of manfrottos or similar with an adapter to get more height if you wanted.
