Shez
Morning all, I'm currently planning out an installation that needs a connector to carry a selection of power, network data and other signals. Harting's HAN modular seems ideal - I see that type of thing on tours now & again. However I can't make head or tail of exactly which bits I need to buy to make up the complete connectors. There's a configurator on Harting's website but that's not proving to be very helpful. Anyone have any experience of making these things up? If you happen to sell that range and can advise, that would be even better.

One thing to note though: although they are very robust, you'll need to make sure you properly crimp your wires into the terminals. I've had significant reliability issues with the ones I used (mainly because I was too cheap to buy the proper tooling) - I ended up swapping them out of the system that I'd used them in. Feel free to drop me a PM if you want.
Pete McCrea
I'd get in touch with Harting directly. They had a rep come to us several years ago who went through the ranges (briefcases with the various components so you could actually get hands on with the bits) and was very helpful. Interesting - I was hoping for a tool-free option as I'd seen a lot of the modules were crimp only - not really worth investing in the specific tools for a one-off. Thanks Pete - I'll drop Harting a line.
Shez
Just to close this one off, I spent half an hour on the phone to a very helpful chap from Harting who talked me through all the details and provided all the relevant part numbers. Top marks for service!
