Hi there

I want to make a cuple of robe colorspots a bit more theatre friendly by implementing 3200K and a frost filter.

I noticed robe has these easy fit filters and I wonder where I can get some of these. I checked robes official site and found nothing. can I just cut out some filters from a sheet and stick them in?

I was also thinking about putting the frost filter in the gobo wheel so I can change colours while frosting? what do you think?

I know this is a crazy idea but can you get an iris that you can fit in a gobo wheel? in a way that it can be adjusted by goboroto?

Hi,

Having owned a few of these in the past maybe I can help.

In terms of colours you are better off contacting Robe directly. They are very helpful. If memory serves the 250AT range does have removable filters called Slot and Lock. However the 250AT Wash version has been discontinued they will still support you as much as possible.

If I read your post correctly you mentioned cutting a gel to put in there. Please don't do that. Heat would melt it and cause major damage to your fixture.

Your Iris idea is an interesting one but it would need to be able to continusly rotate due to the nature of the rotating gobo.

If you only needed set sizes you could work out the beam angle and have some custom gobos made to reduce the size.

Hope that helps
