Bobbsy
Just for reference, the range of 863.100-864.900 is all licence-exempt so you query falls within that group. However, in case anyone reads this later, don't assume you can actually use 863.1 or 864.9--those of the limits of the range. The actual frequencies you use have to be far enough from the end frequencies that the FM deviation doesn't extend past the limits.
Simon Lewis
Bobbsy, I tread delicately, as you know far more than I will ever know! However, the free to use spectrum is stated as 863 - 865 MHz and the 863.1 - 864.9MHz range is often quoted here as the "usable" portion in order to allow 100kHz deviation and not stray beyond the allocated band. tugs forelock etc.! Bobbsy
For the third time of trying to post (my rubbish internet is behaving worse than usual tonight) I'll just say that you are 100% correct Simon. It's almost 8 years since I dealt with UK licensing and my usual post about "it's 863-865 but you can only use 863.1-864.9" post/lecture went sadly astray due to encroaching senility.
