RCL speakers

I was trying to find a site that I could purchase some more RCL 18 inch sub woofers from and the only one that had them was: http://www.soundselectric.co.uk/rcla5.pdf and if you take out the "rcla5.pdf" from the web address you get some basic site with a contact phone number. That's all I've been able to find over the whole internet!! It would seem as some comment here that RCL was a short-lived company which I think is a shame, as despite the denigration of RCL speakers that some are doing on this forum I have two RCL 18 inch sub woofers that have been excellent and I have used multiple times at weddings, and gigs in conjunction with my Warrior Audio mid speakers!! I think they are well made and indeed I would like to get four more of the RCLs as well!! But alas, they seem not to be available anymore so I'm going to have to get other base bins to go with them. http://www.blue-room.org.uk/public/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif

They used to be based in Watford, Herts and manufactured low budget cabinets for the pub band / mobile DJ market. Seen some of their product occasionally, years ago and was unimpressed.

Being a doubting old cynic, I wonder if it wasn't for the existence of a well known manufacturer of decent grade cabinets with a very similar name, if that outfit would have been called something completely different?

Hadfield management, who own that website, were also based in watford a few years ago, and while not a BIG company have solid accounts going back 17 years, so common sense says to give them a ring. Many of the items on that page are common OEM chinese sourced items, some good, and some, like the piezo horns, simply horrible. Makes sense talking to them, but I'd bet getting more of the old ones will be impossible.

Not sure what you mean by the "denigration of RCL speakers on this forum" - not been the subject of any debate for years, for or against.
